The Night I Shred Some Tears..

Tonight I shred some tears and am deeply touched by a specially made movie "Ocean Heaven" in conjunction with Calvary Victory Centre (CVC) to raise funds for the awareness of autism. Starring Jet Li, Ran Chen and LunMei Kwan. Jet Li played his first full drama role in this movie.

Ocean Heaven

The story rolls down to how a father care and love deeply for his only son who are in autism. This story is very meaningful and shows how a father would take care and sacrifice everything for his disabled son he loved so much. This reminds me so much of how my parents treated me when I was small.

When the father knew that he will soon die due to a late liver cancer, he tried his best to and for his autism son, to teach him how to be independent and be living without him. This movie truly touches of a father's determination and unconditional love towards his disabled son. A MUST-WATCHED movie for this week. (do bring tissues along~)

My AIESEC Exchange Story [May/June 2010]

Yeah yeah I know... It's kinda late for me to update my exchange story since my last trip to Guangzhou, China. Under AIESEC exchange program, I was given the opportunity to go abroad and yay~ That was good good news because I do intend to go oversea in my uni life as one of my goals and yes, there I was standing in the world's largest population country, China.

Instead of writing an essay, here are some FAQs to sum up my exchange!

1. What the heck is AIESEC?
- It is the largest youth-run organization that exists over 107 countries... ... ... (click this to know more)

2. Go for what and what did you do?
- Intrigued by my passion of environment. I run for "Low Carbon Now" environmental sustainability project in Sun-Yat-Sen University. Oh~ And also to develop myself to learn how the other green side looks like. I have been over more than 10 high and middle schools in Guangzhou including the best school in Guangzhou province, Hua Fu Middle School to teach about environmental awareness. I am a TEACHER! Wuhoo~ First time!

4. Why China?
- Actually... I plan to go Taiwan. Due to time constraints and persuasion from parents~ China sound cool.

5. Scary?
- Very... When they dunno what you say and you dunno what they say. :)

6. How come you get thinner???
- The food in Guangzhou doesn't taste bad, just that it does not taste like the local food (compared to Asian food available in Malaysia) And I don't eat those rabbit meat, dog meat, and those never-heard-before and like make-your-eyes-ball-roll kinda food there.

7. Why you go there so long one?
- For 6 weeks approximately. To snoop around, get around with China lifestyle of business and also to know more about China and its people. Not forgetting traveling~

I have a lot more pictures to share~ Six weeks of snapping photos non-stop~ But yeah, do leave comments to ask me anything regard this exchange at all~ ^^ Looking forward to answer you.

Tommy Emmanuel Live Concerto

First of all, would like to thank Andrew C. for giving me this opportunity to replace him for this charity concert. (and hey, it was a really awesome concert!!!)
Ticks!

Nimble Fingers... Glorious Pleasure!
Performing LIVE! Wuhoo!

Tommy Emmanuel is the best guitarist I ever seen and in fact is the best known guitarist and musician in Melbourne, Australia. Tonight was the night that he make me realize that a guitar is not solely just one musical instrument that strums of melody but much more that are able to act like a whole band on stage. Drums, bass, beats, piano are not only what a guitar can do but so much more inspiring with the music you can feel. Guitar is a musical instrument that needed practice and hell which can take more than 10 years to learn being apart of it.

"To me, music is not about how it looks (meaning the guitar of course) but how it sound and feels"

The sentimental element in music is the best in the concert. I am able to feel it, it is as if I was being taken to another musical world that drifts me away to the inner side that touch. For music lovers out there, you know how powerful music really is. Tonight concert was my first in JB and was looking forward to more of these! ^^V

A Little Laugh

How do Chemistry define "Holy Water"? H2OMG~

It's a fact that light appears faster than sound. No wonder most people seems bright till they speak~

An Awesome-But-Yet Ridiculous Night To Remember

Today and yesterday was a total awesome but yet a kicking day for me. My coursemates and I (5 of them) went to Tebrau City Mall to just plan to watch “The Child’s Eyes 3D” which was the ever first asian 3D horror movie. Eventually this is what we end up doing .

1. Nearly fainted with the 3D movie, thanks to the effects of the people in the cinema that screams like there’s no tomorrow plus with the 3D effect that enables the ghost to jump into your eyes any moment of the time.

2. Bought three books back from Harris by Malcolm Gladwell : Blink, Outliers & The Tipping Point.

3. One is not enough, we went for “The Life Just As We Know It” movie~ Great laugh…

4. The adventure begins. Have a little supper out at 1.30 am in Tmn. Uni. (then just realizing my ICs and other cards went missing) And that head us all the way back to Tebrau (30 minutes drive) to search for it. The best part is we went into the mall with all the closed shops searching for missing cards~ First time ever been there without anyone inside~ First time walking through cinema lane without any permission~

5. The climax is when we finally found the missing stuff actually was just right in the car. (=-=)’’’

Really feel sorry for my carelessness. I have been not careful for more times than I can count. But then, this was actually a night which I couldn’t forget~ The “Lost & Found” Night + A Little Bit of Adventure. ^^

A disturbed mind

Oh yeah~ Here it goes again. Having a disturbed mind after watching another disturbing movie (which i usually do :P) But it's great though to have this kinda feeling. You wanna get disturbed too? Well, watch "The Fourth Kind"

It's about the story of... Well, if I tell you then it's pointless for you to watch isn't it? This movie is somewhat similiar to Paranormal Activity but just different conceptual. It is disturbing because it triggers my thoughts. Well~ You know... I like to think and when I did, I tend to get carried away by all the waves and "rojaks" with it.

Well~ It's been awhile since I get to have the free time to watch a movie in my roomie~ (not a good day to hang out with the thick haze blocking my face anyway) And great! I am DISTURBED. =-=

A new BLOG! Waseh~

It's been awhile and oops~ I think like ages that I've said that I would make a blog~ And wala! Here it is~ Welcome to read my blog and leave your little comments below if you have anything to say. Won't be posting up everyday (like I have the time to) But will surely update it whenever I'm free~ ^^V
