Post Conference Symptom!

UNLEASH Asia Pacific 2011.

My first ever experience of being a Congress Committee Vice President for Communications for an international conference.

The journey begins when I applied and accepted the challenge to be a common committee to help out the conference. My learning point begun when I was being pushed into a VP position. In fact, I have never been a VP in my previous AIESEC term 2010/2011. And so I am already.

Having going through the challenges. Just to name a few ever since I started my CC VP Comm for UNLEASH, during that time, just fits into my packed schedule perfectly well into my internship period. That alone sacrificed my extra time to sleep later than before (like 2:00 am regularly) including to take away my weekends when I'm suppose to have a good time with my friends and family and my own. Just sounds terrible right?

Being in Comm, it really takes me to a whole new level. Planning and executing tasks alone were really a kick-ass. Let's sum up what I produced thus far. Creating awesome posters, designing websites, making name tags, creating banner, produce application forms, engage supplier and make T-Shirt designs, come out with a cool logo, producing certifications and hyping up the promotion of the conference virtually throughout Asia Pacific continents.

Looking back. It's really a "Wow" for me. I could never even imagine that I have done all these. And of course, I seek for help along the way. And yeah, I survived and it's really satisfying to see how far the steps that I have took.

After UNLEASH.... The post conference symptoms are beginning to haunt me. And yeah, not the scary one but the memorable experience I have gone though. My Congress Committee team were not strong in the beginning. Everyone doesn't even know how to start including me.

In the conference itself, what really makes it meaningful would be my days spent with my team. We have gone through hell and we really enjoyed it all... Two CCs from UKM and one from UTP. Although we never met, but when we do, it just felt like we are long lost friends. Although it's just 5 days of meeting up and having to enjoy the conference while working together were really the enjoyable moment that I will never forget. We laughed more than we could, and we work out as great as it should be.

It's really awesome! And all that's even better to stay in a 4-Star Grand BlueWaves Hotel for 6 consecutive days. Although we don't sleep much, around 3-4 hours a day, but we utilize the rooms! It's awesomely big and the breakfast, lunch and dinner were heaven! The gym was awesome and the swimming pool (although I didn't get to swim) was wow.

Another AIESEC experience that I have crafted in my heart.

It just put a smile on my face to think back during the conference days~ =)
