My Game Is Changed

Life is like a game. They have their own rules, their own method of playing the game, their own strategies that you have to adapt to be in the game. And the game can be anything in your life. Be it your career, phases of life, countries, politics, the evolving environment, you name it.

And my game is changed.

Changing games isn't easy. There's a whole lot of planning and thinking to be in place. Being in a new game, I have to re-set my goals (long and short) and all possible considerations and strategies to reach my goal while abiding to the new rules, culture, community, network of the new game system. While moving to Singapore is not a difficult task but planning my years of development there was the challenge. A lot of people jump to a new game without any plans or goals eventually stuck in the game itself. It only make sense when we plan our destination (distance) before knowing what kind of vehicles  (cars, trains, aeroplanes) would get us there in time (duration) and what is necessary (fuel, petrol, food) to prepare in order to reach there. Nobody would love to jump in a car without knowing where to go and when to stop not even considering if that car is fuelled!

Simple to say. I have gotten a job in SG, I'm not jobless anymore! Yay! Now is that a good news or a bad news? Nay? :D Of course, I have my reasons (personal and development factors) to be there. Weighing on the pros and cons, of course is subjective to every individual. My visions and instinct really put the pros ahead of the cons.

So do really feel free to drop by in Singapore for hangouts or yumcha/advice if anyone reading this is interested or by any chance of going there!

Came across this circulating article that says "Why Generation Y Yuppies Are Unhappy" which I couldn't agree more that I am one of the yuppies but  remaining happy or unhappy is up to me to decide. It is so true that the Gen-Ys' have far fetched expectations than what the reality offers. Many people want to achieve something great but with an easy way. So there goes the famous saying for today generation "Don't Work Hard, Work Smart", which is true but my improvise version is this "Why Not Work Smart And Hard?"

Why not do both? The reality is if we don't work hard and smart, we will not get anything just by playing smart. I'm often delusion by how well other people is doing by just little effort and how awesome some groups of friends of mine that could enjoy their best moment everytime. Does this seem legit? Just little effort and everytime? Not real, because it's just our assumption and what we see everyday that made us feel delusion. People share the best of things or moments on social media, but do they share when they suffer or having the toughest time? Think again.

Let's hope my time in Singapore would open up my eye (which I think will) and gotten great moments there. (if not, screw it. Malaysia have my favourite Nasi Lemak anyway and cheaper too!)

Till then. Will miss my home and nasi lemak!

The real independence of my time begins!
